Dollar to Euro conversion rate today- 1:1

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2022/07/12/euro-and-us-dollar-near-parity-heres-what-that-means-for-travelers.html

Hello all,
For all of us travelling to countries that use euros as currency- the dollar is equivalent TODAY July 15, 2022. This hasn’t been seen in 2 decades. Very good news for US travelers spending their dollars in countries utilizing the euro as their common currency.
I was wondering what- if any - implications this would have on US travelers common travel practices when it came to making the most of our dollar. I found this article and wanted to share and wanted to see if any other travellers had any other thoughts or experiences to share.
Thanks In advance and happy travels!

It looks like there are no big changes as far as using a credit card without international fees and also getting your euros in the country you are travelling to at the the ATM with your debit card with PIN number.
I always like to get about 300 Euros ordered from my bank before travelling overseas so I don’t have to stand in line at crowded or possibly broken ATM’s in the airport. I have some euros on hand to get train tickets or taxis and able to get to my hotel and able to go out later and find an ATM to withdraw cash.

It's great news tempered by higher flight costs and higher hotel costs and the sheer hassle at the airports. Of course staying home costs more too, so I'm going. The Hungarian forint has gone from about 300 to the dollar to about 400 to the dollar in the last year.
