I have been trying to contact the Hotel du Parc in Avignon, France to make a reservation. However, when I send an email, it bounces back saying their mailbox is full and when I call I either get a fast busy signal or a message that the number is no longer in service. Do they still exist? Does anyone have their number? I used the number from the Rick Steves book in 2011. Thanks

Joel, I checked Rick's France 2012 and 9th edition Provence and Hôtel du Parc isn't in either one. I also checked tripadvisor.com and the last review is from August 2011. It is possible that the hotel is renovating so they're not answering the phone or email but it seems a little early in the season to be closing and renovating. So, I suspect they might be closed. We have reservations at Hôtel Mediéval for our 2013 trip. Rick's 2013 France is expected to be available the 20 November; I have it on my calendar!

Thanks. I haven't checked the 2012 book. I'll try the Hotel le Splendid, Hotel Boquier and Hotel Medieval. Hopefully we can get a room in one of those since our trip is coming up. Anyone else have an idea?

You could branch out and try a recommendation that isn't in the blue and gold book.

If you are happy to look at accommodation other than a hotel, a sugguestion for accommodation in Avignon having stayed in this wonderful B & B for four days. Clos du Remparts B & B. Charming, spacious rooms, wonderful hostess and easy walking distance to town centre.
