I enjoy reading both of these sections, but often wonder why they have so few new posts, except for the Scams & Daily Tours (which seems to be all about Rome). The names are often unfamiliar too. Have often wondered if any of you post feedback after your trips on either of these 2 sections. If you don't, why not?
I admit to not reading that section, I haven't gotten a new guidebook for the last 4 years,, although I do own about 5 of them already..and i have never used them for hotels or restaurants.. i have always preferred the information provided on the actual sites .
I will go and take a look at it now though. I just perused a bunch of other stuff on the site today, I tend to look at the Tour Scrapbook, the Updates, the store/product specials,, and of course the Helpline the most.
I have posted there, and occasionally still do. I think this part of the site is more interesting and easier to navigate by subjects that interest me.
I don't like the Graffiti Wall, the organization of topics and the lack of interaction. They should merge Helpline + Graffiti wall into a forum-like interface with threads that are easily searchable etc.
Same reason for me as Andre said. I posted there a few times many years ago, but don't like either. No interaction biggest reason.
I also don't like the organization of the graffiti wall. It's very "old school" internet and requires dedicated browsing. THat said, I have posted a few times.
I also don't post on the Graffiti Wall mainly because I think it has an odd set of topics. For example, one can post on French Gites, heroic B and Bs, or Best Hostels, but nowhere is there doesn't seem to be a category where one can report a nice regular hotel.
