Do i need another Schengen visa?

Hi all,

I'll be travelling to Europe from Indonesia. I have multiple-entry Schengen visa issued by Greece. So i'll enter Europe through Greece first.

My next trip is to Hamburg (Germany), but here is the problem: My flight from Greece to Hamburg is transiting in Turkey first. That means i'll be out of Schengen area, then enter it again through Germany.

In this case, can i (re)enter Schengen area in Germany with Greece-issued visa i currently have?

thank you

<"From what I understand, as long as your bag is checked all the way through from the airport in Greece to Hamburg then you do not need a Visa to transit through Istanbul.
However the Turkish Embassy in Jakarta has listed prices for Transit Visas single or double so please double check maybe contact them:

It's not the transit visa in Turkey I'm worried about.

I'm gonna enter Germany with Greece-issued Schengen visa. Can i do that?

For something that's important to you, I'd be wary of relying solely on advice from anonymous strangers on the internet. It might be worthwhile contacting the appropriate authorities in Germany to get a definitive answer.

You said that your visa allows multiple entries. How many entries? Is there a stated number or just a period of validity?

A Schengen visa is good for all Schengen countries. If it is a multi-entry visa and as long as you are within the time limits (time in Schengen and expiry time limit on the visa) it doesn't matter which country you enter or exit from.
Whether your bags are checked through or not is irrelevant, a visa is for people not luggage.

Strange your flight from Greece to Hamburg is via Turkey. there are plenty of direct flights. If you fly direct from Greece to another Schengen country, that doesn't count as exiting the Schengen Area.
