Generally we just show the book when we paid, and they take the discount off. If you prepay, not sure how you get the discount. Do you have to prepay for the tour?

Bruce, the helpling is not staffed by Rick Steves personnel, rather it's volunteers. So, you want to ask questions of his company you need to call them. I've found that they are very helpful. But in regard to your question, what I do is tell the tour operator that I learned about them in Rick Steves' book when I make a reservation and ask it they want to see the book. If they do you can show when you go on the tour. Pam
