Hi,
We are traveling to Copenhagen, Berlin and Ireland in a week. I need to know where to purchase diapers disposble and baby food?
Lidl or Aldi in Germany.
Copenhagen is very "baby-friendly". You'll find all you need at the grocery stores--try the discount store Netto. You'll see lots of opportunities just walking around Copenhagen.
FYI…Don’t look for Walmart in Copenhagen, Berlin, or anywhere in Ireland. Unless something has changed, they’re found only in the UK (in Europe) and are called ASDA.
Unfortunately, Wal-Mart is almost everywhere. I've seen 'em in Germany.
Check with where you're staying. They'll let you know what stores are in your neighborhood.
"Unfortunately, Wal-Mart is almost everywhere. I've seen 'em in Germany." Wouldn't matter anyway. Carrefour is almost an identical shopping experience, with the exception that the food is much better. So yes, Ricknicks, Europe does indeed have big box chains and not everyone does their shopping at corner stores and markets.
Indeed, it seems that Arkansas' "aristocratic" capitalists failed to take German culture into account when they decided to expand into international markets. Oh, and they had trouble following German law and regulations. Maybe it was just an issue with language barrier. :)
At least Starbuck’s applied a little business sense.
