Just signed up for a Cuba trip this January. I need Euro so anyone with extra Euro to sell, please bring to the meeting. I will pay market rate.

By some quirk I ended up bringing home a few hundred more euro than I generally like to have on hand when I arrive in Germany. PM me with what you think you need.

Frank,

I've also been looking at Cuba, but haven't made it there yet. Who knows, maybe next year?

Whatever currency you take, you'll have to convert to Cuban Convertible Pesos when you arrive. You could also consider taking some Canadian dollars, as the exchange rate is very favourable from US dollars at the moment. It's not likely that any of your credit cards will work there (that's what my Son found when he went to Cuba), so you'll probably be doing a lot of business using cash.

Have had to miss a few, but looking forward to being there this Saturday.

Ken, In some very preliminary info after booking it stated that US currency must be converted to a special peso with a 13% surcharge. No surcharge for euro, pound, etc., so I am thinking I taking in euro since I have some from last trip. Purchases are limited to some art work. As part of the package all meals are include so am not sure if there is much need for additional cash beyond a few pesos. Need a $75 visa going in and there is a exit tax. I am sure it will be an experience.

You Canadians are friendly with Cuba so they are nice to you. We Americans would rather try to bully them so they are not so nice to us. It is called diplomatic tit for tat - foreign policy.
