It's that time (3rd Sat) again. Let's meet at Panera Bread, Aspen Grove, at 10 AM. Everyone's invited.
Is it time for yet another meeting of the "curmudgeon group"??? How time flies! ;-) Hope you all have a wonderful and interesting meeting (and of course some good food and coffee). Cheers!
I won't be able to make the meeting. Thanks for the invitation though.
Frank,
Maybe it has something to do with the subject title: "Denver group meeting" sounds so business-like, it just doesn't sound as intriguing as "Denver curmudgeons", or maybe they thought once was enough. Thanks for the reminder though, one of these months I'm going to try to make it. It would be nice to see you guys in person. Have fun. Does Panera serve green coffee on St Paddy's Day?
No green coffee. Green beans do not make good coffee.
Nope, I don't suppose they would.
You can always ask,
Dang, Don't think I'll be able to make it either -- same time as the parade unfortunately. Cheers,
Hey, you guys meet every month, St Patricks Day only comes once a year. Priorities.
Excuses, excuses, where are your priorities? We are German and English.
Frank, I'm sorry you have to put up with these sad little excuses ;-). I'm sure there'll be something green to eat or drink at Panera - at least green tea...LOL! OK - not the same as green Harp...
We will provide a copy of the minutes for you.
I am going snowshoeing so won't make it to this meeting.
OK, everyone. It's tomorrow.
finally bump.
Hopefully the "curmudgeon group" meeting went well and that Ross decided that the meeting was more important than the parade. Sláinte!
Lee, Sounds like the group is growing in popularity, which is great. Hopefully the numbers will continue to increase.
Yes, Ken, the meeting went well. Five people attended. We were missing a few regulars, but Mimi made a rare appearance, and Ross did make it. Another newbie, Steven, also was there. Two new members.
Yep, Ross did make it and enjoyed it, and the group was impressed that I knew the mysterious and "all-knowing" Ken from Canada!
Ross, I'm not sure I'd characterize myself as "all knowing", but I try to provide good information. Due to the fact that I have a technical background, I'm able to provide more detailed information on those questions. I really appreciate the wealth of travel experience we have on the HelpLine, and I'd like to stress that I also learn from many others in the group. You'll have to try and convince the Denver group to make the journey to Edmonds in January to visit "headquarters". That might be a good occasion to have a combined Seattle/Denver meeting (there's a Panera Bread on the way to Edmonds). Cheers!
