Denied Global Entry

Why would someone get denied Global Entry.

My friend lives in NYC and travels to Europe regularly. While in France last week, he got. a message saying that he was denied Global Entry. He was given no reason and they kept his $100 fee.

He has a good passport and travels between NYC and Europe regularly. He has no trouble going through security / immigration.

Any ideas why he would be denied Global Entry. Is there a number that he can call to find out why?

I believe they normally send a letter saying why you’ve been denied so I have a feeling your friend may have a reason and perhaps they have just chosen not to share that with you?

In any instance, the hundred dollar fee is nonrefundable, and it’s clearly stated on the website

In the event you are denied or revoked from the Trusted Traveler Programs, you will be provided information in writing detailing the reason for this action. If you believe the decision was based upon inaccurate or incomplete information, you may request reconsideration through the Trusted Traveler Programs website .

According to what I am reading, you are given a reason for being denied. It might be that he got an email or text while abroad but. a letter now that he is home.

As Carol said, he may not be wanting to tell me.
