Customized Packing/Pre-Departure Checklists

Any suggestions for a website with good downloadable Customized Packing Checklists?

I know that there are a few good ones out there but I've forgotten where they are. I remember one site has reminder type of checklists for the whole process of pre-departure counting down to the day of departure. I think that you can set it up to get reminder emails sent to you as well. Does anyone know which website I'm referring to?

If anyone can offer me some suggestions it would be a great help!

Thanks for any and all suggestons!

Safe Skies,

At the top left corner of this web page, click on "PLAN YOUR TRIP", and click on Travel tips/Packing/Women's Packing List. It also has "Packing tips for women". And, a "Checklist of Essentials" for travelers in Europe is in the book "Rick Steves' EUROPE THROUGH THE BACK DOOR, 2009", on page 53. And explanations of "What to Pack", with photographs of it, are in that book on pages 48 - 52. And "Optional Bring-Alongs" are explained on pages 52 - 55. And "Packing Tips for Women" (written by Joan Robinson, Ann Neel, Margaret Cassady, Kendra Roth) are on pages 55 - 57 in that book. And it has a few pages on "Electronics", on pages 57 - 59.

Flight Attendant,

I've found that the easiest solution for me is to use an Excel sheet, with packing grouped into different categories as I tend to use a "modular" packing approach. This list is revised slightly for each trip, as the requirements are different (eg: when I'll be in the U.K., I don't bother taking my Language Phrasebook so that is removed from the list for that trip).

My list also has the capability to record serial numbers or other pertinent information, so this could be used for insurance purposes or whatever if my checked Pack is ever lost. Another very big advantage is that the Excel spreadsheet can be transferred to my PDA, so I don't have to take a "hard copy".

I've looked at some of the "Packing Lists" on various websites, but haven't found anything so far that really fits well for me. I much prefer to use a "custom" approach for the packing list and also my Itinerary (which has evolved into a VERY elaborate document!).

Happy travels!
