When making airline reservations, I thought there would be a route by train or bus from Croatia to Greece. There is not, unless you go through the countries below Croatia which don't sound that safe for 3 females to travel through. Do you know any cheap airfare or other modes of transportation to get from Croatia to Greece? The ferry seems to long and too much money to get there from Italy. Any suggestions? Thanks

One possible way would be to take a train to Belgrade and then go south to Greece. That would avoid some of the places that you might be thinking about unless you deem Serbia as unsafe as well.

Maybe not so cheap in the end, but two other options are Budget flight from Croatia to Italy (Rome) then Budget flight to Athens. Otherwise Ferry from Croatia to Bari,Italy; then to Patras, Greece.
