CPAP Machine

I traveled with my CPAP for the first time in April. I flew United and Aegean to Greece. No one even batted an eyelash at me as I brought on the extra piece. I can’t say that’s true on every single airline, and I had a plan to put my other two items in one bag, but I didn’t have to do it. Be sure to take an extension cord with you. Many places had a bedside plug but in two places I need the extension cord.

You will have to check with the specific airline. Some have very strict carry on rules.

We were in Europe earlier this year. We flew Delta across the pond and back, and EasyJet from Venice to Amsterdam. My husband carried on his CPAP in addition to his carry on suitcase and back pack, without issue. Even EasyJet does not count a CPAP against your carry on allowance.

Medical bags are not counted against you by airlines. That includes CPAPs. Their list of terms online usually covers the subject. We travel with a portable travel scooter my wife rides to the aircraft door that is Gate Checked and not counted as luggage.
