We flew to Malta on Monday from Amsterdam. After repeatedly and dutifully checking www.visitnalta.com, we went to great expense (80 euros) for testing within 24 hours of arrival (not an easy job on a Sunday), as well as jumping through the Verifly hoops prior to leaving the US. Upon arrival, we walked in and directly through Valletta’s airport—no immigration, no health check—nothing. If you’re traveling soon, keep an eye on the website, but consider checking with the Embassy, airline and/or your hotel for changes. The website steered us wrong. I was annoyed to say the least. NB: Air Malta was very strict about wearing a mask in the gate area and onboard. Practically no one wears one in Valletta, Mosta or Medina/Rabat. Go figure.
