Covid test for reentering US from Germany.

I understand that one does not need proof of negative covid test upon entering Germany but in order to reenter the US, I would need to show proof of a negative covid test. How and where could I get this test if I am flying out of Frankfurt? If I need to get it at the airport a few days before the flight would I have to go through security?

We are traveling through Germany on Wednesday. …specifically transferring airlines at the Frankfurt airport. We are headed to Prague.
It was our understanding that a negative Covid-19 test (PCR) test WAS required by Germany, not the Czech Republic.
We are flying United Airlines.
Can someone please clarify?
Thanks.

I researched this for our now cancelled trip to Italy (was in October).

We had planned to fly Delta and they provided some information that was helpful on their website, but not all we needed.
Use the Internet to search for places that will provide you with COVID19 tests. You don't have to do to the airport for the test. When I researched for Italy, I discovered that pharmacies provide COVID19 tests, however in Italy for a PCR test, you need a Doctor's prescription. Not sure about Germany.

As I recall, reentering the USA doesn't require a PCR test, but Germany may require it.
