I called Delta and cancelled flight to Rome just before It was put on the Coronavirus “hit list”. The customer service rep advised me that fee for rescheduling would be waived if Rome was included in cities with travel advisories. As soon as it was I called Delta back and made sure the fee waiver would apply (close to $800). The person I talked to made sure I’d get the waiver but advised me to call NOT go on line to rebook to be sure I was not charged a change fee. Delta has been great to deal with!

Good to hear about Delta. I like them but am traveling with United. No word about their policy, yet. Also waiting to see if airbnb will be reasonable.

Thanks, Tom, I've deleted my post which well highlighted what passes for journalism at The Hill.

It is frustrating that British Air says on "new flights"... what about people who have been booked for months and months? :(
