I've been monitoring one way flights from Europe to JFK for quite some time and the cheapest I have found is from Rome to JFK at 282Euros (1 person) on 6/3/10. It has been this amount for some time. I've also checked out the flight monitoring sites but as it is one way, I can only look at round trip. It has said for the last week to wait. With the current exchange rate being a bit better right now, I'm wondering if I should just book my flight. I've heard that flights this summer are a bit higher than normal, with it most likely not dropping before $1000 rt. What do you think? Thanks!
Bing.com doesn't have a crystal ball. They can only guess, based on historical data, how things will change. And everyone's guesses have been wrong a lot in recent years. The exchange rate is good right now, and if you are comfortable with the airfare you have found (which seems good to me), go for it.
Jessica - are you studying over there, or working, or touring or??
The reason I ask, is you may be asked for "Proof or Return Travel", as that is a requirement for entrance in most of Europe (proving you have the means to leave the country).
You can run into some hassles with 1-way tickets - just have your return ticket or itinerary ready to show them. (I booked a one-way to England once and almost wasn't allowed in.)

My husband and I are actually taking a cruise from the states to Barcelona in May so we're just looking for a flight home in June.
