Six of our family are traveling to Paris in a couple of weeks and we would like to buy a reasonably priced child car seat instead of bringing one. Does anyone know where these type stores might be? We will be staying a few miles from Versailles.

In Europe, thrift shops, etc, are usually called charity shops, so you may want to try to look some up nearby to where you will be. Or try second-hand shops for consignment.
I know hospitals usually have car seats for loan in most cities, so you may want to check into that as well!

I know consignments shops in my area will not sell car seats as they can't guarantee they haven't been recalled or already damaged in an accident. When mine was very little we used a car seat on the plane. You can also check one or get one from therenatl car agency.
