I was wondering if this web page was a legit site. I want to purchase a metro and museum pass combo. Could I get the pass in Paris or would it be cheaper if I got it on-line.

liz,, Conciergenie is apparently legit.. but of course you pay extra for the convenience,,, so everything costs more then if you just buy stuff yourself. I doubt you will find the metro /museum pass a good deal,, a carnet of tickets( 10 tickets for 11.40 euros,) is great for a 3 or 4 day visit,, if staying central and you enjoy some walking.. and a Musuem pass is only finacially worth it if you plan on seeing at least three a day. I personally do not find them to be worth it,, but then I rarely visit more then 2 sites a day.. LIne skipping is a non issue for me,, I find I can walk in almost anywhere with only 10 minute waits here and there( with one or two exceptions)
Liz: A couple of questions:
1. How many days will you be in Paris and what days of the week are these days? There are transportation passes that can suit your particular stay.
Have you looked on the web to see what a museum pass would cost for the number of days you would want it?
When you are in Paris will you be travelling to the suburbs? The Combo Pass you mention is good for, and priced accordingly, Zones 1 to 6 when all you actually is a pass for Zones 1 & 2, which is MUCH MUCH cheaper.
You can buy museum passes in Paris and Metro/bus passes, too. I think the conciergerie.com prices are outrageous! If you answer Question No. 1 above we can tell you what kind of pass or tickets would be best and how much they will cost.
I will be in Paris for about 5 days and will be visiting atleast 10 sites.
Thanks for the helpful info!

Liz: Here's some info on metro/bus passes or tickets.
The NAVIGO DECOUVERTE is a weekly pass, Monday to Sunday, so if your 5 days are between Monday and Sunday this is your best pass, if you will be using the metro & buses a lot. 5 euro for the card (one time charge) plus 16.50 euro, total 21.50 euro for zones 1 & 2 in Paris. You need a little (1" X 1") head shot photo. Just carve up any photo of yourself to the required size.
A CARNET OF TICKETS (Pack OF 10)for metro & bus 11.40 euro. May be all you will need if you plan to walk to many places.
MOBILIS is a single-day pass for metro & bus. 5.90 euro.
I have never bought a museum pass but I know you can get them in Paris very easily, so no need to pay extra to buy one on line.
Norm and Pat, we can do the math to determine what is the best deal. The question here is whether or not conciergiere.com is a legit website. It is unusual that they would be the only one selling this combination when the components are readily availble through public locations. I may legitimately find that it is a good deal, however, not so if it turns out that one or both passes are not accepted as represented.
So, David, have you found that it is legitimately a good deal? It may very well be, if you plan on to-ing and fro-ing to Zones 2 to 6 with the metro pass.
Hmmmm....I don't recall replying to this thread...but yes, it's legit. A friend used it once a few years ago, and found it wasn't a good deal because they didn't make use of the transportation pass to make it worth their while.
