I am going for 2 weeks in Sept. to London, Paris, Bruge, Murren (for hiking) and Munich. I am looking for suggestions on wrinkle free shorts/skirts. Also, will I need to bring a jacket or will a warm sweater do the trick in Murren? I am planning on brining 1 jersey knit dress for dinners and 1 pair of jeans. The rest will be knit tops and wearing skirts/shorts to pair. Suggestions? Thank you!
"Also, will I need to bring a jacket or will a warm sweater do the trick in Murren?" At that time of year, especially if you do any hiking, staying dry will probably be more of a concern than staying warm. It could get chilly at night, but during the day, expect mild weather.
Travelsmith has some great items.
In Switzerland we had snow in Sept. I would bring layers to wear. Silk under shirt, top, sweater, and then a rain type wind breaker. It can be cold on the mountain tops and warmer in the towns below. I like Duluth trading for travel shirts and many athletic short companies like Nike and so have quick dry shorts and tops. Try R.E.I. for travel clothes if you have them in Ohio. Columbia is also a good brand that has a lot of quick dry clothing.
