We will take the 7 day London tour next June. Suggestions for clothing and shoes for that time of year?
Thanks.
June is still spring in London. Wear 1 pair cotton blend pants and take 2 or 3. Take shirts that you can layer- some short sleeve and some long sleeve- total about 4 or5. Take a windbreaker type jacket- with or without a liner- with a hood. Wear comfortable black walking shoes. If you base your wardrobe around one "neutral" color like black, blue or grey and take tops that can mix and match along with a scarf or two you'll be fine.
When we were in London a month ago the "look" for women was pants/jeans tucked into boots. It's always interesting to me that during each trip I notice one "trendy" fashion thing - in Paris a couple yrs ago it was velevety scarves & shawls and definitely, almost anywhere I've been in Europe during the winter, it's wool peacoats & wool trench-like coats - NOT trendy jackets or the ever-present (in the Pacific Northwest, anyway) anorak/parka-type coat or athletic jackets.
Bring a raincoat/umbrella. London weather can be fickle. Not many people complain about staying dry.
