I went to the site and it said to upgrade would cost $11.99

For Android it says use FREEAPP code.

I don’t see a code for IOS. I already have it, so when I go to the Apple App Store, I can’t see if it says free.

It installed, but the FREEAPP upgrade code didn't work, on either Pro or Premium. Oh, well.

Update - I was able to access the FREEAPP code through another part of the app, and it worked!

Is there any reason to use this app over Google maps? True, for Google maps you have to save the maps to the device to use offline. Citymaps2go requires you grant them a lot of permissions to your device, such as access to all your contacts. So, it's not exactly free. In other words, 'If You're Not Paying, You're The Product'.

I think the information on Google maps is more complete; CityMapsToGo pretty often doesn't find the streets I search for--perhaps related to alphabet differences, and it struggles with some less-prominent sights if you use the English form of the name.

But with Google Maps you have to figure out what part of the map you need. I suspect for large territories, the Google maps take up more memory on your device, but that is just supposition on my part. With CityMapsToGo, you can just download the map for the entire country if you're going to multiple places. You may need to do that anyway, because since the upgrade of 2017(?), there aren't all that many maps below the country level.

I already have it for iOS also but was able to confirm it is free today from another source (App Advice Daily email).

I’ve downloaded some other map apps, but CityMaps2Go was the first one I downloaded, so it’s the one I got used to. That’s why I use it. If you like google maps or Apple maps, then no reason to switch.

I like the cityMaps2Go because if works great offline.

Thank you - I got the Pro app on the day you posted this. I haven’t used it yet so I have a few questions.

I know that i get 1 free map for free. But i can’t find any info anywhere on how much each additional map will cost. Does anyone know?
Also, does anyone know the difference between the Pro and Premium versions? I ask because I got an email offering me a discount on purchasing the Premium version today. I’m trying to decide if it’s worth paying for the Premium version.

Before the premium version, I had the pro version and never paid for extra maps - maybe that changed when the premium version came out...
