Citavechia tours

We are stopping on a cruise in october in citavechia and have both been to Rome so would like some other options for a day tour. We have approximately 10 hrs. Would like something Quaint relaxing etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated

If you can take the train, head up to Orvieto. It's about an hour or so from Rome. You said "quaint" - that's Orvieto.

Most beautiful church there, St Patrick's well is fun to walk down, and/or just wandering around the streets, and along the walls to see the country side.

Take your time in this small hilltop town to walk the side streets, sit outside for lunch and watch locals, or wander up to the piazza just in front of the church for some wine tasting and people watching.

I love Orvieto, and would go there again - been there 2x already.

Great ceramics there too!

Orvieto is great. I haven't mapped it out as a daytrip from the cruise but the town was a pleasant surprise for us. It sits on cliffs rather than a hill top and has underground tunnels that date back to the etruscans.
