cigarette lighter as power source in Germany

I'm renting an RV in Germany. I have a converter that i plug into my car's cigarette lighter at home into which I can plug my laptop, camera's battery charger, kid's dvd player, etc. One end is goes into the lighter socket, the box itself has a three prong plug. Will this work in a German RV so we can use the above appliances?

Sally, since the cigarette lighter charge cables of German TomTom's work in cars in the US without any problem I suppose it should work the other way around just as smoothly.
