Christmas day Travel in Brussels

We will be travelling to Brussels on Christmas day, will the city be closed, will be able to do any seeing around? how should we plan for food? Also what about sight seeing, will anything be open?

There should be enough restaurants open that you'll be able to find a meal, but they will likely close by early evening. Your best option would be to have a large mid-afternoon lunch. Museums will be closed. Churches will be open. You can use the day to explore some of Brussels' many fine parks and squares. The Christmas markets may be open early in the day, but will close early.
