Christmas cards ( eCards) from hotels in Europe where you have stayed?

In these dark times I have enjoyed receiving eCards from hotels in Europe where we have stayed recently, or have joined their website. I seem to get more from Switzerland and the Dolomites than anywhere (perhaps because that is where we tend to go). My favorite is from Hotel Gaia in Basel, with a quote from the Dalai Lama: “ Choose to be optimistic; it feels better”. I like that.

We have also had nice notes from places in Italy that we had booked for 2020 but had to cancel.

What about you?

Yes, we have received eCards from hotels where we have stayed. We had wonderful experiences at both hotels so are happy to hear from them.
Hotel Grones, Ortisei, Italy in the Dolomites.
Hotel Bellerive in Saló, Italy on the SW coast of Lake Garda. Stayed in both hotels on the same trip in 2012 and would happily return to both of them.

I received an e-Christmas card from Hotel Rosa Salva in Venice. We stayed there last May (2019). I can’t say enough good things about them since Antonio helped sister-in-law reunite with her passport. The e-card is a very good marketing tool and a way to let us know they are open for business. It’s a little personalized touch that goes a long way when we can travel again.

I have been hearing from Hotel Flora in Venice this year. They have kept us posted since the beginning of the Pandemic. Run by the Romanelli family for over 50 years and three generations. I wish them the best.

No, I haven’t and I’m jealous. Does a card from my Honda salesman count? Happy holidays!
