My wife wants to buy a nativity scene while we are visiting our daughter - who is studying abroad in Paris. We thought we would visit her in Paris and take a train to Florence...if there are worthy Xmas bazaars there. Can anyone advise on a place in Florence? We prefer to shop in Florence, but are open to other places with nice Xmas bazaars while in Italy.

There's a Christmas Market in Rome on Piazza Novana. You'll definitely find handmade presepio figures there. There are fabulous Christmas markets in the most northern area of Italy. Trento's is glorious. http://www.christmasmarkets.com/Italy/trento-christmas-market.html
