choice of shoe(s)

i am going to western europe soon for the months of may and june. I bought a good pair of keen sporting sandals that are really comfy to walk in. Should i also bring runners, or would sandals coupled up with some good socks be adaquite?

I suggest 2 prs of footwear so you can alternate.
If it rains & your shoes or sandals get wet.. your feet will be happy!

Sandals are the best thing. I travel in a pair of slides - enclosed toe, open heel and have them as my alternate footware. You shouldn't be bothered with cold feet, but perhaps some knee high stocking things/tights with the slides if you are chilly. Are you going to Scandanavia where it will be cooler? Then a more enclosed shoe perhaps.

I think an extra pair is a good thing. Bring a pair that can go from walking to the beach and another pair that can go from walking to dressed up slightly for dinner, theater or a night out.

For women, some sandals can go from the beach to dress up. If you have those, add a good pair of walking shoes and you are set.

May and June can be really nice to really rainy, so keep that in mind too.
