I would think that the Ferry would be the most efficient. There are direct ferries from Venice to a number of ports in Croatia. Try www.aferry.to

I don't know the quickest way but you will love Split. I stayed 50' from Diocletian's palace in a private room sold to me at the dock. $35 per night!

Hi Rick,
What was the name of the private residence you stayed in? Do you have their e-mail and also do you know if it is hot in the summer and in need of air conditioning? We are 3 people traveling. How many were there with you for $35? Thanks, Toni
