I'm flying from Vienna to Luton (easyjet)169 Euros, then I'm driving to Manchester with friends, and catching a flight to Toronto 2 days latter for 299.00 lbs. Thanks for all the replies.

I've considered that, but it's looking like it will be over 1,000.00.

Booking a transatlantic flight at the last minute is gonna be expensive. I'm assuming you are already in Europe, you may want to find a local travel agent, perhaps they know of some last minute consolidators.

Yes, I'm already in Europe (Vienna), it's hard flying out of Vienna, I'm now considering flying to England, and then England to Toronto.

Even priceline UK is quoting flights from London to Toronto at over $1000. I'm afraid you might have to bite the bullet.

Have you checked out Zoom and AirTransat?

Norma strikes again! I just checked Zoom's site. They don't fly on the 14th but do have premium seats available the day before and after for only 450 pounds. Using Gatwick airport.

Zoom is a great deal. Wish more people knew about them!

Yes, We have used Zoom a lot the past few years. The earlier you book the cheaper it is and they even have direct flights from Calgary to Paris now. They do not fly daily to either the UK or Paris so you have to work with their schedule but if you're flexible, it can be a really good deal. I heard Zoom was starting to fly to Paris, or was it London, from NY but I can't confirm if this is so.

New York to London is their new route.

If you notice the cost of the flights have gone down (at least the ones I am watching) but their fuel surcharges have gone up. Needless to say, they are still a very good deal.
