Charging laptop?

I'll be bring a laptop for the travel this summer.
My laptop has 4cell battery, so it will run out quite fast, and will be needed to charge everyday.
If I'm correct, many of those budget hostels don't offer electric plugs to every room, so this charging laptop thing is becoming an issue for me.
Or, do most hostel rooms have at least one plugs for customers use?

Thanks in advance!

Your real problem, I suspect, is that so many people travel with electronic goodies that need recharging--cellphones, Ipods, digital cameras, laptops--that you may have a hard time finding plugs not in use. You should email the hostels you are considering and ask about their facilities.

I have never had a problem with this. There were a couple of times we had to unplug a lamp to get to a plug though.

Be careful what you unplug. When I was in germany, my roommate unplugged the TV in our room to charge her camera batteries. The hotel was old and it turned out the power was somehow piggy backed and by unplugging our TV, three other rooms lost theirs as well.

When we came back from our day her batteries had been moved and the hotel manager scolded her.

Makes for an interesting story.
