Planning a trip to Britain this summer. I have some adapters for charging devices from outlets in B&B's or hotels. I am interested in whether cars in Britain have cigarette lighters similar to those in the U.S. and whether charging devices for cars from here will work there? Thanks.

When it comes to cars -- they are all the same. Remember a high percentage of cars are make in Europe and shipped here.

Take it with you and plug it in. Most devices have a light bulb which will show if the current is charging you device.
Be aware that in some cars, the ignition switch must be on for the cigarette lighter to work.

Most do have cigarette lighters, but not all. My car doesn't and nor does my mum's car.
