I know there are options for buying a sim card for your phones in Italy but has anyone used any Verizon International plans. Thanks
I use a global plan when I go to the EU from Verizon that is an additional $80 for 30 days for 250 minutes and 200m of data. I know this last trip it saved me +/- $160 on calls alone. What you have to do when you call is ask for the "Global Department" and they will set you up. Last trip was for 26 days, most of my business/pleasure trips are for +/- 15 and I still consider it a good value-likely not the cheapest you can find.
I've been using a similar approach to that mentioned in the first reply, although not with Verizon. It's absolutely the easiest solution, but not the cheapest one. Which method to use will depend on they type of things you'll be using the phone for.
You didn't say what type of phone you're using, but note that phones must be unlocked or other SIM cards won't work.
