Want to buy a cell phone (in paris) for the 2 wks we are in France. We are NOT taking our american cell phone, since it has not international capibility. For emergencies, calling hotels/tourist sites, etc.... Where can we get one?

Try the BHV, across the Hotel de Ville. The electronic department is on the 4th or 5th floor. Also found out that Virgin Mobile simcard is cheaper than Orange or SFR and uses the Orange network.

Go to any Phonehouse location. Most likely you'll find English speaking staff who can advise on the current best deal for a phone and sim card with prepaid minutes.
