Has anyone purchased Telestial cell phone and sim card for Europe travel?
$19 is good value, if true.
Jeff, In addition to Telestial, there are a large number of other "travel phone" firms supplying similar services. You could also have a look at the websites for Roam Simple, Cellular Abroad, Call In Europe, Mobal, EuroBuzz, One Sim or Max Roam. It's prudent to compare the rates and services of a variety of these firms, in order to get some idea on which one might best fit your situation and your budget. Many of these provide SIM's with U.K.-based numbers and many use post-paid billing (calls charged to a credit card, so no need to top-up). I haven't used Telestial, but have used the services of one of the other firms, so could only comment on my experiences with them. Are you planning to use a "basic" Cellphone or a Smartphone? Do you require data capability? Cheers!
