I am taking my LG Shine (ATT) to France and Italy. I have purchased ricks Continental converter, but am unsure if this will work with my phone and current charger. Does anyone know???

You won't need a voltage converter, just a plug adapter for France and Italy.

The first thing you'll need to do is check the Input Voltage specifications on the Charger. If these state "100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.", then the Charger is designed for "world" operation.
I've found that it's a good idea to take at least two of each Plug Adapter (Continental or UK), just to have a "spare". Which countries will you be visiting?
I checked the specifications on the LG Shine, and this appears to be a quad-band model so you should have no trouble using this in Europe. I assume you'll be roaming with AT&T?
