Melody,, you should definately post this on cruisecritic.com, their forums are great, all about cruising, the ports of call etc.. and you can sign onto a thread for your exact cruise and meet people who will be on your exact cruise. I did this once and met a bunch of people( we met at sail away in a predetermined spot on the ship) and its a great way of finding people interested in sharing an excurision( and getting a bit of a chat( on the forum) with them before you commit to anything)

What Pat said. Go to cruise critic and sign in, like here, then go to their message boards (look for "roll call"). Someone will start a thread for people going on a specific cruise ship and date. You can ask shore excursion questions that are specific to your cruise. The people you "meet" on the thread will normally plan a small get-together on one of the sea days (everyone introduces themselves and maybe an hour of casual conversation). Usually one or two ambitious people will organize excursions and are looking for people to join. The main page also has good information, and posts, about ports of call. Although I think most of the contributors rely too heavily on ship sponsered excursions (which can be too expensive, slow and crowded for my taste), it gives you a good idea what activities are available at each stop.

The particular board you want at creuise critis is the "celebrity connections" board---then look up your ship--then your sailing date there will be a link to sign up for a free connections party onboard if 25 sign up--usually not a problem many folks will be sharing cruise specific info and looking for other to share excursions Also there is the celebrity cruises board which will answer many general questions about the cruise line and their policies etc. hope this helps Paul

This is our first cruise to this destination and would love to share a shore excursion. The ship's choices are seem to restictive and we would like to do more than what they have to offer.
