CDG to Gare de Lyon

Question from a first time traveler to Paris (arriving one week from today.)

I've seen a few horror stories about how complex CDG can be, especially with a bit of a language barrier. We will be arriving this Sunday at 7 AM and any advice on the following would be appreciated:

1- Our hotel is a short walk from the Gare de Lyon train station. Thoughts on whether the Air France shuttle from CDG to that station would be a better (even if a bit more expensive) mode of transportation? I'm a bit concerned on having to keep an eye on so much luggage while on the train - seems like a bus might be a bit safer / less concerning.

2- If I understand correctly about USD to Euro conversion, the ATM's at CDG mostly don't accept debit cards without eurochip. Am I misinterpreting, and if so, how the heck do you get cash for train/bus trip?

3- Any general advice for navigating from gate to train platform / bus stop? We will be flying Delta airlines, if that helps...

Thanks in advance for any advice - very excited.

Tony,

As Steve said, ATMs accept all debit cards. It's the ticket machines at French train stations that require cards with embedded chips.
