I will be in Catania for nine days stating April 25th.We will be renting a car. I have been exploring various tour options to see the best parts of the island for three or four days.One of the best options available at this point I have found is to hire a private English speaking tour guide who is available to ( or wants to ) moonlight, or does it on a full time basis. I have had an offer from few, but do not know much about them, who seem to be reasonable in price( (as opposed to someone who works for an agency.) Can anyone recommend any, preferably based(lives )in Catania that I may contact? Many thanks

Jack, you'll probably have better luck if you post this question on the Italy part of the Helpline. Or post it on TripAdvisor; they have some knowledgeable responders, too.
