Cash in for Euros now?

I'm planning to travel to Europe in mid Sept. for a 3-month trip (my first time abroad), and have been watching the euro decline and am thinking of getting some euros from the bank while it is low. Not enough for the entire trip - say $500 to $1000. Do you think it will continue to drop?

If anyone here could predicate currency fluctuations with even any degree of success we would be very rich:) Flying private jets, lounging around our private yacht in the French Riviera, and spending our evenings at the Casino in Monte Carlo; to dream the dream!

But your answer your question: It's a gamble you may come out ahead, your may loose...impossible to predict the future.

Make it simple. If you stick a grand in euros in the sock drawer you ain't going to earn interest on it, plus you're going to pay something to get it.

Take that cost/loss and then take your most optimistic guess about foreign currency exchange rates.

Yes, I know it's a crap shoot, but worth the investigation. Thanks for your input.

Interesting article, Steve!
