Does anyone know if Rick's 'convertable carry-on' backpack is acceptable as a carry on with Air Transat?
Apparently, Rick's bag is 9" x 21" x 14" and Air Transat's restrictions are 9" x 20" x 16".
Hi Stephanie
TS (Air Transat) are pretty tight on size restrictions. My ex (who flies for them) used a 21 incher and got written up for it. I often accompanied him on layover with a 21 incher and was made check it three times in a row so I stopped using it when I flew with them.
If it doesn't fit in the box you'll have to check it. Is the bag somewhat compressable?
They don't always make you fit it into the box, sometimes it's just random or if a Sup is behind the counters. But if you do get past the counters you are pretty safe. F/A's are too busy during boarding to worry about stuff like that.
If you have a smaller bag that might be a better way to go...It's a hassle to have to check your bag last minute, especially if you plan to carry on only.
Hope you have a good flight on "the Blue Light Special"
