Caravan Rental

We have traveled France and Spain with a small RV. I was wondering is it possible to rent a car with a pull behind camper(caravan)??
I would like the added flexibility of dropping it at campsite and still being mobile.
Thanks

It would be truly unusual for a regular rental car agency to allow you to tow anything. Towing is usually specifically PROHIBITED in a car rental agreement. Also unlikely a rental car would have a hitch.

Never had occasion to look for a rental car and trailer combo, so you may just need to do a search for "car and camper trailer rentals'.

I have never come across caravan hiring, but on googling it, a few places in the UK popped up. It is mainly used for people that are contemplating buying one by the looks of it. They don't offer car hire and before you hired a caravan, you have to produce paperwork proving that you own the car and that it was insured, showing original paperwork, which you wouldn't be able to do with a rental.

Usual car hire prohibits towing. In addition, as caravans are heavy, you would have to ensure that any car that you rented was sufficiently powerful to tow, which means a more expensive, larger car.

I couldn't find anything similar for Spain etc.
