Flying into Paris (Charles De Gual) for a 70 day tour of europe. Will lease a car there (very reasonable) and bring our own tent and sleeping bags. Will buy stove, cooler, cooking gear, and camp gear there. Any sugestions where to make purchases. Going to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switerland, The Low Countries, and France with a possable side trip to the Czech Republic (in that order). Plan on taking advantage of transport and museam passes ect. Will have camping cards on hand and utilize free camping sites at farms and vinyard in Italy and France. Shooting for 100 to 120 US dollars per day while there. ???doable??? Sugestions???
Decathlon is a big sports store in France. It's all over Europe, actually. They have everything you would need. As for how much you spend per day, if you're eating the same day you fill up the car for gas, it's not nearly enough. Otherwise, it's enough.
Thank you for your responce. Saw Decathalon site on the web but gave british locations only. Plan on prepairing most of our meals, picnics etc. Will spend 3 to 4 days just outside major cities and use public transport to get around. Otherwise we will go where ever our whims take us. We want to see how European live and play. Not the packaged vision provied by the tour groups.
