Has anyone rented a car in Albania? I'm wondering if there is any rental co. you'd recommend over another? I am not familiar with the local car rental companies there and I know sometimes those smaller outfits can sometimes be challenging so want to make sure we go with a reputable car co.

I rented from Sixt - this was in 2021 when travel was opening up after Covid. Picked the car up in Tirana and returned it in Saranda before taking the ferry to Corfu.
I’ve had good experiences with Sixt. Their pickup location in Tirana was a taxi ride from where I was staying but much closer than going all the way to the airport. The local rep met me at the port for me to turn the car over
