The Canadian government has issued a global travel advisory - avoid all non-essential travel outside of Canada until further notice. Also, a few days ago an advisory was issued to avoid all cruise ship travel.

Other measures that are being enacted include:

  • Limiting which airports international flights can land at
  • Boats and cruise ships with more than 500 passengers are no longer allowed to dock in Canadian ports
  • All international travellers are asked to self-isolate for 14 days after arrival
  • Increased screening at points of entry

Looks like the virus is moving south as the tmps rise in the northern hemisphere. This is a SARS strain so might follow the same pattern.

According to a TV news report this morning we have 29 confirmed cases in Alberta, all related to travel, with the majority being after travel to the US. We need a wall people.😁

Maybe we can build a wall out of toilet paper. If everybody donates some of the tp they've panic bought over the last few weeks, I'm sure it won't take long to build a wall. LOL

It's now a ban -- no entry to Canada except for Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and US citizens - with exceptions for diplomats and air crew. My bet is it will extend to US citizens as well within the week.
