not happening on all threads but some I get get a picture of steve lying on his back saying he can't find the web page. was happening a few times yesterday and happing again this morning.

Sometimes that means a post has been removed. But it does happen occasionally for no apparent reason.

I had problems all day yesterday and it started this morning until I cleared my cookies. Couldn't open All Topics or General Europe. Seems fixed after I cleared cookies.

Clear your Cache. I've had the same problem at times, and that usually clears it up.

Sometimes I try it again, and it works. I think it might be that the server is just busy and can't respond in time, and it times out.
