My son and I currently use the Life360 app. (and we are both on an ATT account). However, when he does a study-abroad in the spring he will be getting a new unlocked Apple phone and using a SIM card purchased in Europe. We also have Find My Phone, but I wonder if these apps will work in this new situation.

Find my iPhone works if it is registered and started. I use it.
I've never heard of Life360 so dunno.

Whether a phone is "unlocked" or not has no bearing on whether it will function with Life 360. I'm vaguely familiar with the app, and it appears that it maintains contact either via cellular or WiFi. Once the SIM card is installed in the phone, it should function with Life 360.
