We are in a bind. Our flight to JFK has been delayed enough that we won't make our flight to Milan. Our options are to go through Amsterdam or Paris. I would prefer Amsterdam to maneuver but are there issues with transferring through there? I remember reading it but can't find anything.
Beth, this webpage might help you. I don’t know the answer to your question but the webpage may help. It was posted on this forum by one of the regular forum members.
The pointsguy.com has a very useful article that details requirements to transit all European airports. Currently neither Schiphol not CDG require a negative covid test just to transit the airport. If all goes to plan I'll be going thru Schiphol in a few weeks reroute Switzerland so I'm watching closely if they return to requiring tests.
Well you can enter France with a CDC card, so you should definitely be able to transit with one.
But I am sure you had to make your decision already! Hope things work out.
Not the same thing as transferring, but we departed from Amsterdam 5 days ago and we needed to show proof of a negative PCR test.
We are going via Paris which does make me nervous. We ended up going to airport early to discuss. Our flight got delayed an extra half hour which made making our original one impossible.
So hopefully get to Milan 4 hours later than originally scheduled. On our way…..finally.
Beth — hope you made it through today.
To this person, the negative test you needed is a U.S. entry requirement:
