Camping in Europe

What is a good guide book that lists camp grounds in Europe? I will be going for 3 months on a motorcycle.

Be careful if you are going for around 3 months that if you are not an EU citizen that you don't exceed the 90 days in any 180 permitted under the Schengen agreement.

90 days sounds like 3 months but they are not exactly the same.

A well-known organization is ACSI, the page Laura refers to has the link Eurocampings (under Camping Resources on the right side) leading to their website.

Bernie, even better than a book of lists are these two websites which will show you the campgrounds in many colorful photos and even some video, show you everything each camp has to offer, and has all sorts of deals. You don't even need to bring tents or other equipment. They offer a huge variety of camping options from beds in tents to camping cabins.

(1) https://www.topdeck.travel/destinations/europe/camping This site is for 18-30 year olds primarily and we have a 21 year old daughter with great experiences with them.

(2) www.eurocamp.co.uk This one covers camping in places like France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, and Croatia.

Our family has extensive experience with these two and they are excellent and allow you to know everything you need to know before you ever leave home. They also cover information on camping in Europe,

The only camping I have done in Europe was in the islands between Finland and Sweden. It was great. We had a car but there were many on bicycles riding the ferries. The campgrounds were beautiful frequently with kitchens that were stocked with pots and pans. We were there at the summer solstice, though, and very long days and mosquitos!!
