tammi,

You should be able to find the country codes and other information for making calls to Europe at the front of your local phone book. It will probably be 011+39+local number for calls to Italy. If necessary, call the Operator for assistance.

Whether you'll be able to use your Cell phone in Europe depends on what network your Cell is with, and which handset model you're using. If you can provide further information on that, it would help.

I'm not completely clear on what you mean by "our internet here! Will it work there as well"??? Could you clarify that?

The internet is the same everywhere. The only difference can be the speed of the connection and the keyboard you will be using.

tammi, speaking from the sad voice of experience be SURE you have a good rate before you start calling overseas from your US phone (either cell or landline). It turns out SBC (the new AT&T) has a cheap rate if you sign up for it and pay a small monthly fixed charge. Otherwise you're talking dollars per minute!
