Buying a camera in Europe... and getting it to work at home.

So, I bought a new camera while I was in Germany (Panasonic DMC-FS5 Lumix) and now, not only can't I charge it at home, I'm afraid of buying an adapter because i'm not sure how the whole power-conversion thing works.

Aye. I know it can't be that hard. lol.

Any tips?

Leigh,

I'm assuming the Charger supplied with the Camera has the Euro-style Plug? The first thing will be to verify the specifications on the Charger - check on the back or bottom to determine the "Input Voltage". Once that's know, it will be easier to provide more specific advice.

Cheers!

If on the back of the charger it says 110v-220v (or 240) it will charge in both USA or Europe. You can also order a new charger from the camera company. You could also get an adaptor if it is dual voltave
